Art, Science & Outdoor
Creative Arts
Camp is a place of inspiration. Our creative arts staff provide an environment of creativity, imagination and fun. Our craft center is a place where budding artists can try a wide variety of creative pursuits. Campers are able to explore their creativity while making memorable projects to take home with them. Projects such as clay creations, lanyard making, dream catchers and talent shows are always a big hit with our campers!
Dance
Campers can express themselves through the art of dance. We want our campers to feel free and confident in who they are and dance drives their inner confidence to soar.
Fishing
All of our campers will get the chance to go fishing on the shores of Lake Livingston. Don’t worry parents, we put all the fish back so they aren’t sent home with your campers at the end of the week!
Outdoor Living Skills
Playing in nature can positively impact children’s health and well-being. We encourage parents and caregivers to get your children out into the natural environment. Together we can teach them how to protect their health and the environment. At camp, our children spend each and every day in the great outdoors, enjoying each other, the weather and everything that nature represents. Campers also learn how to survive in the wilderness by building shelters, fire and learning what plants and even animals they can easily catch and eat if need be. (No animals or wild vegetation will actually be consumed by campers.)
Cookouts
Nothing says camp more than being able to pull up a log for a seat near a friend. Cookouts are a great time for staff and campers to get together and swap stories of the week spent together.
Hiking
Campers will enjoy seeing some of the 500 acres of woods and numerous woodland creatures along our hiking trails. We have miles of trails to be explored and we’re waiting for you to join us!
Nature Classes
Campers will learn about our local wildlife and seek out critters with close counselor guidance and supervision.
Geology
Campers get hands on with rocks, minerals and fossils in our new geology room before heading on out to explore millions of years of history in the making at our unique rock quarry. Our specialist counselors within the geology field take the campers on a journey through time as they help campers identify and understand the stories that rocks and our landscapes are telling us. Campers will also have the chance to go panning for gold at prospector’s peak!
Environmental Science
New to camp this summer is our environmental science program. Campers will learn how to become better stewards for the earth as we look at the impact of trash on our environment and the importance of recycling, ecosystems and green energy.
Marathon Pipeline
Race downhill on our giant marathon pipeline slide! Campers experience the thrill of racing their partner in this dual activity.
