John Uresti – Summer Camp Director

John has been a part of the Camp Cullen family for over 6 years! As the Summer Camp Director, John’s goal is to lead through service and connection so that everyone that visits camp is inspired to grow, love the outdoors, make forever friends, create lasting memories and have fun in a safe environment.

Having started his YMCA journey as a camper, John was encouraged to turn his love for camp into a career by becoming a Day Camp counselor in 2015 at the Langham Creek Family YMCA. Throughout his time at the Y, John has worked in many of our youth development programs, including Day Camp, Afterschool and Residential Summer Camp. Through these programs, he has learned and built a love for the mission of the YMCA and witnessed the transformational impact it has on people’s lives.

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched they must be felt with the heart.”
