Specialty Positions

Camp activity offerings cover a broad spectrum. The staff we hire often come with some of the talents required to facilitate these activities, but many can also be taught. These skill sets include high ropes and adventure, target sports, paddle sports, boat driving, fishing, sailing, lifeguarding, crafts, pottery, geology, environmental science, group game planning and more.

Make the Commitment

Different positions and roles within the camp staff team require different commitments from those applying to join us. Part time and specialty positions can be Monday through Friday, or weekend heavy. Our seasonal positions for the summer staff team are the most commitment intensive. Our summer counselor team lives and works at camp for the season, providing youth with supervision and life-changing experiences for the duration in which the campers join us. This immersive experience is both one of the most challenging and most rewarding experiences a staff member can have with us.

Our Promise to You

Our promise is to challenge you to be the best role model you can be, to help you grow and develop yourself, while always acting in the service of others. Will you join us? There is no doubt making the decision to become a resident camp counselor will be one of the best ever made. The friendships forged and lessons learned will be cherished throughout your lifetime.

Camp can be both a destination and a launch pad to the next opportunity

As one of the finest camps in the country, our staff often choose to take leadership roles in other camps around the industry. Many will advance themselves within our own leadership development pipeline, while others will use the fundamental skills learned at camp to pursue careers in hospitality or education. Whether these goals are shared or not, the soft skills learned at camp continue to serve our alumni well into their future endeavors – teamwork, resilience, confidence, decision making, leadership, organization, creative problem solving and more.
